Where am I?

A couple weeks ago, I was on a crazy business trip where I was in Atlanta, Chicago, and LA all in a 3 day span.  That's 5 flights in 4 days.  Whew!  This is my record of the trip.  It's a little busier than I normally make layouts, but I wanted to capture the crazy, frenetic feel of the trip.

This is also from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm line. When I am through sharing all my projects you will see how versatile this line is.  I also added a sticker from some new Jillibean Soup sticker sheets.  And my go-to Jillibean Soup alpha letters and the Studio Calico clouds that I seem to find a way to sneak into every other layout (I'm really into clouds right now).

I had a lot of fun making the next layout.  This is a little stuffed lion that I've had since I was a kid.  It plays "You Are My Sunshine".  A lot of scrapbook companies have been using this phrase in their die cuts and stickers and I've been thinking of making a page about my little lion.  I had saved a few die cuts from an Authentique line along this theme. And I used some of the same new Jillibean soup word stickers I mentioned above.  Otherwise everything else is from the Lucky Charm line from The Scrapbooking Studio.

Sparkle

Whenever I go shopping at the fun youthful jewelry store at the mall, I always see a plaque that says "Never let anyone take away your sparkle."  When I saw the beautiful glittery gold letter stickers from American Crafts, I immediately thought to scrapbook that quote.  Super fun! It goes great with the bold red and pink polka dot paper from Dear Lizzy's Lucky Charm line.  Also added some more of those eclectic chipboard shapes I mentioned in the last post.  Eiffel tower =  sparkle!  All at The Scrapbooking Studio (of course)!!

Wild Thing

I just love all the eclectic chipboard shapes that come with Dear Lizzy's Lucky Charm line.  Like the chipboard horse below.  I wouldn't have thought to use the horse right away, but the "wild thing" quote was too cute to pass up.

Two color choices too!!! Don't miss out, pick some up at The Scrapbooking Studio. : )

Lucky Charm

Super excited to have been assigned the Lucky Charm line from Dear Lizzy for my April design team projects at the Scrapbooking Studio.  It had me scrapbooking like crazy.  I finished almost all my design team projects within a week of picking it up. Love that!!!

Also, did you know Elizabeth Kartchner now has a scrapbooking only blog, called Lizzy's Paper Party?  Lots more Lucky Charm ideas there.

An old, new friend

Recently one of my friends who had moved away about 10 years ago moved back!  I've had a lot of friends move away over the years and am excited to have one actually come back. I also love doing "then and now" layouts and posed us in similar positions for our "now" snapshot (it's all about the scrapbook page right?).

You may notice that I'm doing more 8.5x11 pages. Since I like to use single pictures or smaller pictures, I'm finding I like this size better.  Don't be afraid to mix up the size of your scrapbook pages. It can really kick your creativity in to gear to use a different format now and then.

As with my other recent posts, paper and die cuts are from my LSS, The Scrapbooking Studio, and include My Mind's Eye Collectible (really loved all the springy colors) and letter stickers are from Oct. Afternoon (brown), Jillibean Soup, and Studio Calico (grey).

There is no someday . . .

I am a huge quote person and periodically scrapbook quotes and display them to remind me of the sentiment. You'll see more quotes in future posts (stay tuned for a very sparkly one).

This quote is a reminder not to put anything off until "someday".  I was inspired to scrap it from the days of the week rectangle.  In my stash, I was psyched to find an oldie, but goodie Heidi Swapp "Today" stamp. The little letter stickers fit perfectly in and around the stamp.

Paper and days of week are from the My Mind's Eye Collectible line, and letter stickers are from Jillibean Soup and Oct. Afternoon.  All to be had at The Scrapbooking Studio.  I have to note one awesome feature of this paper line is that the paper was really thick and the pattern was deeply embedded into the paper. So I was able to move things around a lot without tearing the paper (something I am terrible about doing).
